Our History

Quality prevails: Ute and Manfred Rosenkranz have been running their renowned catering and event service for over 35 years. In 1990, Silke and Dirk Rosenkranz got on board with the already booming business and, in cooperation with their parents, opened the beloved 3-star superior Hotel Pfeffermühle with a Restaurant, dining-, and living rooms. In 2008/2009 the Rosenkranz family expanded the hotel by 15 business rooms and 2 professionally designed conference rooms so that there are now 3 dining rooms and 6 business rooms for events with up to 100 participants available in total. Much to the joy of their parents and grandparents, Jannik (since 2013) and his younger brother Niklas Rosenkranz (since 2015) now also see their future in the Pfeffermühle – Valuable support, since both juniors are trained cooks. Additionally, Jannik Rosenkranz has earned a degree in business administration for the hotel and catering sector at the college of hotel management in Dortmund. Each year, the hotel is distinguished by the Guide Michelin. We are also regularly awarded the Hygiene-Smiley. Our mottos, “pure enjoyment” and “only the best for our guests”, have led to a point where our customer base is continually growing regarding gastronomy and hospitality. Many reputable companies are valuable references for the Pfeffermühle.
